Eristoff flavored vodkas in red and
black have arrived. Eristoff Red is sloe berry flavored. Eristoff Black is
wildberry flavored (dominantly blackberry). At a lower proof than many
flavored vodkas (only 40 proof instead of the more common 80 proof),
Eristoff is great as a cocktail ingredient in drinks where you already
are using a higher proof liquor as the base, adding lots of flavor to
the drink without boosting the alcohol content too much. As the only
alcohol in a drink, they provide the alcohol of most types of shnapps
and cordial liqueurs with a little less syrupy sweetness. The red would
be great in cranberry juice and the Black would be great in iced tea.
They'd both also complement Sprite, ginger ale, and energy drinks
nicely.
